[2 Corinthians 5:9] Whether we are at home or away, we make it our aim to please him.

[2 Corinthians 5:15] Jesus died for all, that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for him who for their sake died and was raised.

This article will probably anger many “senior Christians,” but it’s a much-needed wake-up call.

There are many who start their Christian walk in sincerity, begin to grow in their relationship with God, but sooner or later they become stagnant. When God makes it clear to them what His will for their lives is, they say no to Him because it interferes with their own plans for their lives.

This is a fatal mistake. Those who are in such a condition are NOT righteous before God and need to repent if they want to be with Him in eternity.

Please understand that if we resist God’s will and plan for our lives, we are not righteous in His eyes, even though me may appear as decent, moral people to others. Once we receive the gospel and repent, we are meant to live a repentant life. This means we must be willing to change according to His purposes and plans for us rather than stubbornly cling to our desires and ambitions.

God finds satisfaction in those who abandon themselves to Him and live for His purpose and not their own, but He is not pleased with those who live for themselves. So, if you are the “master of your destiny,” God is not pleased with you. If you think He is, just because if believe yourself to be a “good person,” I need to tell you that you are completely deceived.

Many Christians believe that if they go to church and are involved in religious activities, they are right with God. But this is NOT true. Although they may appear to be righteous in their outward behavior, they are not righteous before God because they have kept their lives for themselves. Yet they believe themselves to be fine because they are religious.

God desires us to be inwardly surrendered and let His Spirit direct and guide us forth in the truth. But if we cling to our carnality, we don’t develop in the Spirit and we don’t increase in the trust we are meant to have in Him. Those who want to remain in charge of their own lives stay as babies and don’t bear fruit for God’s kingdom.

Many Christians remain always suspicious of being fully surrendered. Because of fear, doubt, and unbelief, they are merely religious and not righteous. They profess Jesus and claim to be Christian, but their Christianity is just a form of religion. There are far too many such religionists who are putting on a religious display while their hearts are far from God because they chose to live their lives for themselves.

If this is you, if you understood God’s will for your life and refused it, choosing to chase your own dreams, desires and ambitions, I plead with you to come to your senses, reflect on your spiritual condition, and hopefully repent.

Before closing this article, allow me to share with you a fragment from a prophetic message I received through tongues interpretation on April 18, 2023.

Abandon yourself in My hand and follow My plan. I will lead you with a mighty hand and place you where My plan is, to do My work, so that no one on the judgment day can claim innocence. You will be a witness (against them) on the judgment day, and many will be held accountable for how they didn’t accept Me and didn’t allow Me to work in their lives.

I want to make it clear that everything I said here also applies to me. Soon, I will have to make a choice whether to accept or reject God’s plan for my life. This is what He revealed to me in another prophetic message, received exactly one month later.

Abandon yourself in My hand and remain near in such a time as this, for a day of decisions is coming, a day when you must put an end to certain things, a day when you will have to choose with your heart. It will be a great test for you.

May the Lord help us to always choose Him and His plan for our lives, no matter the cost.
