With internet pornography so readily available these days, a majority of Christians men have become addicted to porn, including pastors. This is a huge problem but rarely addressed in churches, for obvious reasons.

Porn and its evil twin, masturbation, are addictive. As with any addiction, it’s a sin and a form of spiritual bondage. Although most don’t want to admit it, the reality is that those who are addicted are bound in demonic chains and cannot free themselves.

The Bible is very clear that porn watching and masturbation are damnable sins that will cause those who practice them to end up in hell.

[Matthew 5:28-20] I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart. If your right eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body be thrown into hell. And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body go into hell.

[John 8:34-36] Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who practices sin is a slave to sin. The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son remains forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

[1 Peter 2:11] Beloved, I urge you as sojourners and exiles to abstain from the passions of the flesh, which wage war against your soul.

[2 Peter 2:19] They promise them freedom, but they themselves are slaves of corruption. For whatever overcomes a person, to that he is enslaved.

If you are addicted to porn, you are enslaved by the devil and his demons. Please understand this and accept it. Allow the Holy Spirit to convict you of this truth. Then confess, repent, and cry out to the Lord for deliverance. If you hate your bondage and truly want to be free, Jesus will set you free. But if in your pride you stubbornly keep insisting that you’re “OK,” you will remain a slave to sin and perish in hell.

God loves you, but He won’t make an exception for you because you’re somehow special. He has the same standard for all. If you want to go to heaven, you need to be set free from sin. The choice is yours.
