The idea that God loves everyone unconditionally is very popular and appealing. But is this what the Bible says? Not exactly. God also hates certain people.
[Leviticus 20:23] You shall not walk in the customs of the nation that I am driving out before you, for they did all these things, and therefore I detested them.
[Leviticus 26:30] I will destroy your high places and cut down your incense altars and cast your dead bodies upon the dead bodies of your idols, and my soul will abhor you.
[Psalms 5:5-6] You hate all evildoers. You destroy those who speak lies; the LORD abhors the bloodthirsty and deceitful man.
[Psalms 11:5] The LORD hates the wicked and the one who loves violence.
[Psalms 106:40] Then the anger of the LORD was kindled against his people, and he abhorred his heritage.
[Proverbs 12:22] Lying lips are an abomination to the LORD.
[Proverbs 16:5] Everyone who is arrogant in heart is an abomination to the LORD; be assured, he will not go unpunished.
[Proverbs 17:15] He who justifies the wicked and he who condemns the righteous are both alike an abomination to the LORD.
[Hosea 9:15] Every evil of theirs is in Gilgal; there I began to hate them. Because of the wickedness of their deeds I will drive them out of my house. I will love them no more; all their princes are rebels.
[Malachi 1:2-3] I loved Jacob, but Esau I hated.
This idea that God loves everybody no matter how wicked they are is another Churchianity fairytale. God loves everybody only in the sense that He is kind and patient with them even if they don’t deserve, giving them time and opportunities to repent.
God doesn’t accept sinners in their sins. He went as far as to give His only Son, but if people keep refusing to repent and to turn from their sins, they will eventually fall under His wrath and judgment.
[Matthew 25:41] Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.
