The Bible teaches very clearly that the way we live our life directly determines our eternal destiny. There is not even one verse to suggest that we will be judged by faith. Judgment is by works alone.

Here is what the Bible says, without any theological mumbo jumbo:

[John 5:28-29] Do not marvel at this, for an hour is coming when all who are in the tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who have done good to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil to the resurrection of judgment.

There are only two possible destinies:

• For those who do good: resurrection of life

• For those who do evil: resurrection of judgment

[Romans 2:6-11] God will render to each one according to his works: to those who by patience in well-doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, he will give eternal life; but for those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, there will be wrath and fury. There will be tribulation and distress for every human being who does evil, but glory and honor and peace for everyone who does good. For God shows no partiality.

Again, there are only two possible destinies:

• Those who are patient in well-doing: eternal life

• Those who are selfish and do evil: wrath and fury

These verses obviously talk about salvation, not about rewards.

You’ve been lied to by wolves in sheep’s clothing.
