Love for God is shown through obedience.
Those who love Him keep His commandments.
[Deuteronomy 11:1] You shall therefore love the LORD your God and keep his charge, his statutes, his rules, and his commandments always.
[John 14:15] If you love me, you will keep my commandments.
[John 14:21] Whoever has my commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves me. And he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and manifest myself to him.
[John 14:23] If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.
[John 15:10] If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and abide in his love.
[1 John 5:3] For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome.
God wants us to obey Him out of love.
Why don’t people obey Him? Because they don’t love Him.
If we want to see heaven, we must love and obey God.
